Vapnartak Battle 2: Chaos Daemons

Well after a victory to the Space Wolves and a quick look round the trade stalls, the posting for round 2 were placed up.My little heart sank when I saw a Daemon army waiitng for me on the table. Something was odd about this Daemon army, I had seen this army before yet how could I when I have never played Daemons before? The army actually belonged to Neil Kerr from the Pink Tyranids blog. You sank my battleship!

As I get closer to R Day (Race Day) my thoughts shift to strategy. Should I join a pace group or run Han Solo? Should I high five spectators or just focus on the run? Should I really wear thongs under my running shorts? Ok, the last one is a joke (of course I will) but I do need to lock down a game plan. Like a good game of Battleship, I need to strategize.Then again, I could just, you know, run - a la Forrest Gump.I also need some mental tricks to get me through those miles that seem endless and painful. For me, this usually happens around 20-24. At my last half I kept repeating "Strong. Powerful. Tough." That seemed to help quite a bit. I guess I could always channel my inner badass. W.W.B.K.D? (What would Beatrix Kiddo do?) (Anyone up for a jog?)What other mental games can I play? Perhaps a little pin the tail on the runner in front of me? Simple Enjoyment

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast this morning. Breakfast has always been a favorite of mine. My little breakfast book (http://stores.lulu.com/susanmarque) is only a portion of fun breakfast ideas. I've been creative with breakfast. My mom seemed happy with breakfast when I lived at home. It was an easy meal. Few dishes and often little to making it. Perhaps boiling water for cocoa or hot cereal, or just warming up or toasting a bagel, or other bread item.I especially liked getting to have a pastry growing up as my breakfast. A homemade muffin or a big bear claw from the local bakery. Even a bowl of cereal where I worked with getting just the right amount of milk in the bowl to play different games I would devise with each brand. Lucky charms - I would eat the crunchy cereal and save the marshmallows for last. Captain crunch I had some game of eating the ones that were broken or sank in the milk first.
